Rebuilding Lives: NCMHA’s Commitment to Community and Impact
North Carolina Manufactured Housing Association
NCMHA partnered with local leaders to help Esther Jones, a 77-year-old wheelchair user, rebuild her life after losing her home in a fire. North Carolina Rep. Dean Arp (Union County) was driving by when he noticed a fire had broken out in Esther's home. She tried to escape her burning home near Richmond County and was heroically rescued by Rep. Arp from the blaze. In response, NCMHA coordinated with Rep. Arp and industry partners to provide Esther with a new, accessible home, demonstrating the industry's deep commitment to community support and affordable housing solutions.
Sinclair Agency was brought on to capture and share this powerful story. Through a short documentary video, strategic media outreach, and recognition efforts at the State House, we helped highlight not only Rep. Arp’s heroism but also the manufactured housing industry’s impact in times of need. The project served as a meaningful way to spotlight the human side of housing—often overlooked in policy debates—and reinforce the industry’s vital role in North Carolina communities.

Positioning NCMHA through purposeful storytelling
To support NCMHA’s community-focused initiative, Sinclair Agency developed a multi-channel communications strategy designed to elevate awareness, foster goodwill, and reinforce the industry’s role in supporting North Carolinians. We focused on authentic storytelling, ensuring that every tactic—from content creation to outreach—centered the humanity of the moment.
We crafted a compelling narrative that aligned with NCMHA’s mission and values, then strategically distributed it across earned and owned media channels. By engaging local and regional outlets, leveraging legislative recognition, and utilizing video storytelling, we created a campaign that resonated emotionally and positioned NCMHA as a trusted voice in the housing conversation.
Public relations that drove community impact
The campaign successfully elevated NCMHA’s visibility and reinforced its reputation as a compassionate, community-focused organization within the housing sector. Through strategic storytelling and targeted outreach, the initiative generated meaningful press coverage and strong public engagement, building goodwill across audiences.
